The day could not have gone better. The rain that was supposed to downpour all day (flood warnings and all) held off so travel was made much easier for the family that came. Brooks was an angel. He was perfect in church. Eric and I went over about an hour early because that timed out with his naptime. That way he could get a good nap in there and wouldn't be woken by transfer and cold. He woke up right as church began and was just curious as can be. He loved watching the bell choir, and just looked around. During the baptism ceremony he didn't object to the water or being held by a stranger or being walked around. When the sermon began he did begin to get bored and start shrieking (he loves to hear himself), so we took him out- but he wasn't even screaming, just bored.
After church we went to coffee hour and knew B was not going to last much longer. We left church, fed him and rocked him to sleep, and then had brunch while he slept. It was a fantastic day made even more so by the family who came. Thank you everyone for being there and for the generous presents- B loved everything :)

You can tell by all the sleeping that B found getting baptized to be an exhausting activity- but we would much rather a sleeper than a screamer!
