Is June crazy always? We have been super busy. Birthday parties, graduation parties, bachelor parties, bachelorettes, bridal showers, and more. There was a huge heat wave so we laid low, then we were just trying to keep up with life.
Last last weekend we went to my parents to celebrate Griffin's graduation- although I have no pictures because although I brought my camera, I failed to bring the battery that I had charging specifically for the party- oops. Then this past weekend we were busy with wedding stuff for close friends- Eric is in the wedding and there was stuff for it on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
We are doing well- here are the good
THE DUO these 2 kill me together, they love each other lots and it is just funny to see how Ivy is watching Brooks and how Brooks is mimicking what I do with her or just doing his own funny thing.
B's new favorite face is the pout lip- we have been working on emotion faces and he just mastered sad. So now even if I ask for a smile, I get a pout LOL
Thank you for our Hannah Anderson PJs Aunt Ali!
Brooks loves Ivy's crib- maybe because it used to be his- but I think more so because she is in it and it has his 'show'. The musical mobile that we bought a second of so that he wouldn't be without it when he switched rooms. Nana bought this for him before he was born and it is a HUGE success for both kiddos.
watching the show together
My babies are adorable- for serious
He loves talking to her and trying to get her to smile (which is pretty easy)
Every time she is laying there he joins her
BROOKS is amazing. He is turning 2 in 3 days!!! And he looks like such a little boy now. His vocab is definitely improving- he has a best friend at Gymboree- Tomas, who he calls Mas. If I say something he'll answer 'right'. He sings row row row for - well you can figure that out. He will copy his toys when they say things like beep beep or go go go. And he is suddenly a TV addict. This is great for when I have things with Ivy I need to do- like feed her or put her down for a nap. The rest of the time, not so great as it is an inevitable tantrum because he wants to be a couch potato. And not only does he love TV- but he loves a specific episode of sesame street- and not just the specific episode- but certain parts. And he knows the remote can magically fast forward to said parts. So we need to nip this before it becomes a huge problem- but half of me thinks that will happen once Ivy is a little older. He can watch it for now while I have to do stuff with her- we just keep otherwise occupied the rest of the time.
Someone knows lots of their colors- I asked for Blue chalk and he was so proud of himself for getting the right one.
Trying on the doofy clown hat at Gymboree
This is what he does when you say "Say Cheese"
Eric is very excited the Bruins are in the Stanley Cup Finals- one game left to decide it all! He bought B this ridiculous 80's esque outfit
Brooks is a pacifier thief. He sees one and yells PA then grabs it. He also tries to shove them in Ivy's face- but my favorite is when he hordes them.
A new favorite game- playing with soapy water in the sink and measuring cups or tupperware.
Love this child
We went out for Dim Sum in Chinatown the other weekend. Brooks was not into it at all (sort of like me)- too much weird stuff. He did end up eating what I am going to call a small duck- although I think it was probably a pigeon. He also ate the shrimp ball you see below. It took a couple bites until he realized it was not the Mun (Munchkin) it resembled and he gave up on it.
Sock it to me!
Oreos are super yummy- and messy!
Strolling around Philadelphia on Sunday- Daddy got him dressed (AKA kept him in PJs) while Mommy was at the bridal shower- I think he looks pretty rockin
Prebathtime stalking of Ivy and her show
This is his face as he hears the Elmo's World song come on TV- there is also dancing involved.
IVY is doing amazing as well. She is still the smiliest little munchkin I have ever seen. I have started calling her Niney since that is how Brooks says her name LOL. She is filling out- look at those cheeks! She is also doing great with the meds- her bump is gone, seriously. So now it is just upkeep to keep it away and in a short while it will be a distant memory. She is starting to try to grab toys now and does lots and lots of shrieking and squealing.
Big Girl!
Ready for the sunny weather :)
Love these blue eyes
Ming is trying to decide who she likes more- the one who doesn't grab her or the one who feeds her
Cheeks!
Ivy has mastered the lower lip pout- it is adorable!
She has also fallen victim to driveby toddler torture. The first is just a sticker, the second picture is chalk. What looks like a huge vein bulging up on top of her head is a streak of blue chalk.
Ming got groomed- my two pretty girls
Always happy!
Ivy and I before heading out to the bridal shower (she came with!)
Mischievous smirk
Hanging out while B colors outside
Wearing her adorable outfit from her great grandma Elly
And last but not least- A 4 minute video with clips from a short 15 minute portion of my day. Watch it, it will make you smile. However, I did put the same clip in twice- so you will be subjected to a repeat 30 or so seconds, but pull through because there is funny stuff at the end as well, and let's face it- the kids are cute!
