Boys Weekend!

Well- the boys had a weekend to themselves! This was huge because besides a couple hours here and there, Eric and Brooks have never really been on their own. This wasn't for any reason beyond where do I have to go for a long period without them? Plus I was exclusively nursing up until recently so didn't really have too much freedom to disappear. Now that B will take sippy's with milk, it was nice to get away.
Where did I go? I visited a friend who moved out to Arizona with a bunch of other friends. W had a fantastic time. I am super exhausted, but it was worth it to be Carly again, and not just mommy 24/7. Don't get me wrong- I love being mommy, but I think everyone needs to get out once in a while.

And while I was gone Eric and Brooks hit the beach. I think Eric gained an appreciation for how much it takes to pack to go away with a baby even for just 1 night. Eric was great and sent me lots of pictures via text while I was gone- here are some of the ones I received!










And in big news- While I was on the phone with my mother- Nana- Brooks took his first steps!!! He is not doing it all the time, and is still gaining confidence, but if I catch him in the right mood I can get him to practice. Walking is right around the corner!
