They let us take him home!

A few last shots at this hospital. I don't think Brooks will be fitting into size 0-3 month clothing just yet :)

Now that we are home with the little monkey, it is kind of hitting in that we really have a kiddo!

Eric was adorable- I came home to an already printed photo album of our first day of pictures at the hospital- it was so sweet and made me tear up. His excitement is great. I think he has already bought Brooks about 7 outfits and I know within 48 hours of the birth, he found a halloween costume on ebay and placed a bid .
First night home was good, lots of adjusting and Brooks and Ming got to have their big meeting. It went well- the dog is hesitant and intrigued by him. She doesn't seem too bothered by his presence

Jim & Sue also stopped by briefly Friday night while Brooks was sleeping in his swing. Naturally the biggest challenge has been sleeping... Brooks just wants to eat, sleep, eat, sleep in spurts. Every once in a while we are lucky to get a 2-3 hour sleep stretch, but otherwise it is constant.

Today (Saturday) we had lots of company.

Brooks got to meet his Grandma Barbara in the morning

Later in the day the Nikolayuk Clan came through.

Brooks had already met his Nana and Grandpa at the hospital= but was very happy to see them again. My mom brought us TONS of food so we could have lunch and leftovers for days. It was great. We also got some adorable outfits and my Dad went all out and got Brooks a 2009 US American Gold Eagle commemerative coin. It is such a cool and generous gift, and something Brooks will have forever. Way to go DAD!

Brooks also got to chill with his aunts and uncles

Uncle G

Aunt Ali & Uncle Dave- and the ridiculous basket Ali brought full of gifts for Brooks- and by ridiculous I mean so generous and completely overboard- but we LOVE it so thank you!!!

And our last visitors of Saturday- the Lubers.
Marc & Eric have known each other since they were 4 years old. They were best men in each other's weddings and it is hard to think of many people who are as good a friend as Marc is. Marc & his wife Jackie had a baby boy on April 29th- Zachary Luber is exactly 7 weeks Brooks' senior.

I hope these boys will be great friends like their dads- they will have literally known each other all their lives :)

(ps- Zach was born weighing 1 more lb than Brooks- isn't it amazing what a difference just 7 week make! I guess we will be in that 0-3 mo size before we know it.)
