Updates- Brooks made his return journey to the pediatrician on Friday for a weight check. The Dr. likes to see babies who are nursing a couple times in the beginning just to make sure they are gaining enough weight. No problem here for our porker- from Sunday to Friday he put on 14 oz, weighing in at 8 lbs even already. WOW! I even asked if that was too much too fast, but the ped. said it was great- it means he is getting what he needs and they go through so many growth spurts when little that this is an excellent thing
His cord fell off on Tuesday night- the Dr put something on it to help speed up it drying out, so now we are on belly button watch 'o9. What will it be- innie or outie?
Look at those cheeks filling out!
A progression how Brooks letting me know he is hungry
First- the groggy face with the mouth open to symbolize "feed me"
Second- now awake and looking perplexed as to why he has not eaten yet
Third- FEED ME ALREADY - I'm coming to get it
My Mom was such a help here- everything in the house is caught up on. Laundry, cleaning, the nursery. And- in addition to being a big help- she got tons of face time with Brooks. I hope she enjoyed it as much as we did. THANK YOU for everything mom!!!
Some recent pictures- Brooks enjoying seeing his maternal grandparents this week:
(nana had a magic touch- the little guy loved just laying with her!)
And the nursery!!! A work in progress, but really coming together. Thank you again Grandma Sue for the beautiful glider- it came on Friday afternoon!
The view from the hallway- please ignore the short curtains. I bought the wrong length sheers and will fix that when I have a chance
Stepping into the room and looking right:
View from stading near the closet- first angled towards the right (window). Then angled towards the door. Organizing the hutch and bookshelf are on my to do list this week.
