Happy 1st Dad's Day Eric!!!

Happy First Father's Day Eric!

you are already the best- your son loves you! (seriously, Eric can quiet him down pretty fast, he is a natural). Seeing my two boys together melts my heart, it is going to be so much fun to watch them over the years. And also- a happy father's /grandfather's day to Dad & Jim.

We had our first doctor's appt. I had a 'wow I already stink as a mom moment' there as well. When we arrived there was another couple leaving with their son (born same day and place as Brooks). The mom made a comment on how they checked him out and his diaper was dirty and she didn't even bring a bag- and I realized, I did the exact same thing. I brought nothing- didn't even think of it since we were going there and back. I am glad she was there so I didn't feel too terrible about myself.
Brooks looked great. Everything was healing up well and the best news was he gained 5 oz. He was born at 7lb 4oz, left the hospital at 6lb 13oz, and is back up to 7lb 2oz. Dr's like to see babies regain their birth weight in 1-2 weeks. So that means this whole nursing thing is going well and he is getting what he needs - YAY!

Father's day was nice. We did not do too much since we are still in adjustment mode. Jim, Sue, & Sarah came over. They brought lunch to feed an army so we could have some leftovers (THANK YOU!!) and hung out with the little man.

and- because I cannot resist, here are a few more pics (poor kid is getting used to the camera fast). Looks like he may have inherited my talent for giving 'looks'. Also- evidently Eric and I are not the only tired ones in this house.
