Well, blogger has done something weird with their formatting, so if this comes out wonky- sorry!
We have not been up to too much, time is just sailing by.
Updates on the kiddos
Brooks-
*was accepted to preschool! He is going to be starting 3 mornings a week in January
*is hysterical and tells jokes- his top 3 are "get big trouble touch a pickle", "put dog food in the oven" and "knock knock, who's there, sherlock, sherlock who, sherlock the door" (he says all parts, doesn't let you respond. Just saying those things sends him into hysterical giggles and often a case of the hiccups
* is huge into names right now, so at gymboree when he sees his friends he yells out "i see ____ (arya, jessica, miles, tomas, james, raina, etc)
*apparently he has overheard me leave a lot of messages b/c now when he fake talks on the phone he says 'hello, carly meyer, 51992 (part of our phone number)'
*saw a mom nursing her newborn at gymboree and after that proceeded to yell 'baby eat boobie milk' at her every time he saw her whether she was feeding the babe or not
*tells me 'mommy be sad' so i can fake cry and he can give me kisses and say i'm so happy, i love kisses
*is obsessed with elevators, automatic doors, and gates, if we pass any we must watch the doors open and close (this can take quite a while at the Whole Foods entrance since people constantly walk in
*rides the bus on the weekend with Daddy for fun- often this involves a dunkin donuts coffee for me so I love it
Ivy-
*has 2 teeth!
*is starting to try to crawl- she lunges forward from sitting and gets frustrated and collapses
*stands well holding on to things and even stands for a few seconds on her own
*has started babbling, lots of ma ma ma and ga ga gas
* had lost weight from month 6.5 to 7.5 so we were pretty concerned. Babies losing weight is a BAD thing. Proud to say from 1 month ago she gained 20 oz!!! When you are only 15.5 lbs, 1.25 lbs is an awesome gain
*loves eating table food- she eats jar food so much better than B ever did and happily digs in to whatever we give her. So far she has had waffles, pancakes, toast, spaghetti, spanish rice, lamb stew and some chicken
* is still the smiliest child ever
* is still mommy-attached, but is getting much better
*loves her brother- he makes her smile and laugh more than anyone
And PICTURES!
standing! last shot shows no hands!
B loves forts these days, for some reason he goes in and says "brooks, what you doing in a doghouse?"
Gorgeous kiddos at the Franklin Institute
WORD!
Not into pictures at the moment
Tubby time girl
Gymboree cuties- he is not picking his nose, but doing the shh motion along with a song
Spaghetti eating girl- she loved it. Brooks says "holy moly ivy messy" when she eats
Part of Ivy's bedtime routine- storytime with daddy
B's new thing is crossing his arms and making a tough face
My sleepy guy- his sleep has been off lately, he takes forever to fall asleep at night and his naps end up being long enough I have to wake him in hopes he will fall asleep earlier. He is so out that he doesn't even wake when I go to get him
Ivy was not a fan of canteloupe
Another of B's "jokes". He stands in the dustpan and says 'what you doing in a dustpan, put in garbage' and then cracks up
I love how much they love eachother
My pretty babies
On her way to crawling- it will be soon!
This is a picture of Brooks pooping. LOL! He goes and hides in a corner and wants privacy, if you ask what he's doing he will say 'go pooping' but he does not want an audience. I think this is a positive step towards potty training.
FALL FUN!
We went to brunch and encountered leaf piles on the way home. To say Brooks loved playing in the leaves is an understatement.
