Lots to report! :)

Well- since we last posted, a lot has gone on!
We celebrated my birthday- the big 30!- and had a great time.
Ivy was baptised, and she hit 6 months old! (Because of the # of pictures those 2 events will be in the a separate post coming soon!)
Brooks has started singing songs (sort of) and really rolling with his speech. I keep trying to get stuff on video, but once he sees the camera it is over. I need to resort to subterfuge- any suggestions as to how to fool him are welcome!
Some cute things he has been saying
He sings interesting renditions of Happy Birthday, 5 Little Monkeys, Twinkle Twinkle, and the alphabet.
Every time I change Ivy's diaper- he comments on what's inside, says clean diaper (cwean giber), and if it is poop he will say ewww, p-u (pee-woo), gross.
Brooks snapped Eric's glasses in 2- he brought them to him saying 'gwasses, uh oh'. The entire day he was saying Daddy (gaggy) gwasses, bwoke, uh oh, gowwy (sorry) gaggy (daddy).
He has been tired with teething so will just say put cwib, go cwib, bye bye mommy night night instead of wanting books and songs (sob!).
He now has graduated from calling Ivy- Niney- to Iby, more often than not it is "I B Baby, cuuute" as a whole name.

With the good developments come the awkward- like yelling Blue Hair at the woman who works at wawa every single time we are in there :)

Pictures from the last couple of weeks :)

Ivy can sit on her own, however she doesn't ever want to. If she isn't paying attention to me, she will sit there, but more often than not she arches back and wants no part of it. Frustrating!

Brooks told me the vacuum was broke and needs batteries (everything that is broken needs bat-ries)

My children are goofy!

he LOVES the swings- loves them

Ivy is getting more into them, but nowhere near what B was like at her age.

Cheeks!

Brooks has the coolest eyes- I always loved the big blue eyes he had as a baby, but now he has green eyes like his daddy and they are gorgeous

so pretty- and of course, smiling!

I have been buying more hair things, so you may notice them in more pictures- I can't help it- they are darling

** (thank you Sue Saggese for this cutie outfit with matching bow!)

such a ham!

Benihana Birthday Dinner!- We celebrated my birthday with a family dinner at Benihana. Ivy was awesome- she slept a lot then just hung. Brooks was great too (and he has not been at dinners out lately- at all). He was enthralled with the cooking. Yes I told them it was my birthday and they sang to me- and I didn't care (I guess this means I am indeed getting old!)

Another day at the swings!

Brooks also likes sitting at the table at the park? He watches the buses and calls them out by number. 48 bus, 32 bus, 7 bus, etc (except 48 bus is said four-eight-bus for example). Then as it drives away he goes "bye bye four eight bus (or whatever # it is).

Brooks picked up my nursing pillow, put it on his lap, then said "feed Ivy". So I put her on him, but he didn't like that LOL.
