We had an ultrasound on Thursday to check on Squeaks and the placenta issue- YAY!!! The placenta is out of the way- what does this mean, no longer an automatic c-section. I am very, very happy with this news.
Other news from the appt- they think Squeaks is a BIG baby. Apparently s/he has some chubby cheeks and a huge belly. I don't place much stock in the estimate though- When I was pregnant with Brooks- 5 weeks before he was due they said he was weighing 7lbs already. Well he was 7lbs 4oz, and that lsat month the baby puts on a lot of weight- so clearly they were WAY off in the estimate. They guess Squeaks is 3lb 6oz right now (I think avg is 3lb 2oz). So maybe we are having a chunky baby, or maybe they are off- all I know is the baby is growing well and healthy!
This kid is A LOT more active than B was in utero. S/he pummels me- which is clear in this picture of the little fists pounding against my belly
And here is a frontal shot of the face- the big white part in the middle is the left chubby cheek! (top of head is to the left, sideways 'triangle' in the middle is the nose, eyesocket above, and chubby cheekiez)
And Brooks update. He is doing so much better. Fever free, sleeping again, and back to himself. This week has been great. We had our last playgroup until 2011 with the hospital parenting center, hit up Wegmans, went to my Dr's appt, and just hung out. I am so thankful Gymboree is right here because with this cold weather it is wonderful to have somewhere to go just to break up the day.
His 'fake' smile for the camera
I caught him with this...
'It wasn't me, it was the dog"
How cute is this bacon & eggs shirt?
Silly Boy
We went Christmas tree shopping this morning. Brooks was very intrigued by the rows upon rows of hanging trees that he could swing or spin.
However, even more exciting than the trees were the plant urns. He would have stayed drumming on this and lifting it up all day if we let him.
It was a nice family outing! We got a small tree so we could tuck it away from him easily- it won't be in our usual tree spot. Here are some family pics (and you can see the 7 month belly!)
