I don't have too many pictures of Brooks to share this weekend- that is because we were not with him. This was our long anniversary weekend away that Eric surprised me with. We went to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas- and ohmygoodness it was amazing. The resort is gorgeous. It has a ton of pools- but they are not just pools, they have no stairs and are made to look like beaches. There is also an adult pool with large 'beds' in the middle to lay out on and relax.
They had a lazy river and a less lazy river (with waves and currents) that were each a mile long and circled the resort. You could even ride your tube straight up a conveyer belt from the river to go down waterslides (Eric did that while I floated around another time). The restaurants were great- Nobu is a new favorite, the casino was fun, and the whole trip was just amazing and too short!
Here is the view from our room-
The building in the top left houses 4 water slides, the pyramid (tiny) in the middle has the non tube water slides, and if you look in front of the big hotel/casino bulding you can see the lazy river.
and another shot just to show how gorgeous the beach/ocean was.
Here is our room itself- I loved the bathroom, 2 sinks is a must when we move and I had my first long relaxing bath in a long time!
The adults only pool!
Other pics from our trip!

The unbelievable yacht- helicopter and all- parked at the Atlantis marina
And us
Before we went out that night, in the lobby
Brooks had a great time with Nana & Grandpa. They all had a lot of fun. B discovered a new love for piano playing, and enjoyed the big yard and new house to discover (aka rip to shreds and open every drawer and cabinet). They went to the zoo Saturday- good thing because a leopard escaped on Sunday!!! He slept, napped, ate, and played well and I think it was a blast for everyone. Thanks again for watching him!
B at the zoo with a sheep:
On Labor Day itself- I think we all recovered from the prior 3 days. Eric and I took B to the playground. It is nice to go the 3 of us b/c one can actually play with him on the equiptment while the other covers all the 'exits' so he doesn't fall off. It is hard to do that myself with how twisty turny it all is.
He thought swinging across from Daddy while Daddy swang on the 'big boy' swings was the coolest thing ever
And wow- these slides give off a lot of static electricity
