Saturday marked the beginning of the Jewish holidays- which Eric's family celebrates. Susan and Jim threw a beautiful dinner for a large number of people- it looked great and we were so excited to show the baby off to family and friends. B had other plans. We arrived at 6:30, and from 6:35 until 8pm, when we left, he screamed his head off. He was inconsolable- crying, crying, and crying. Would not eat, would not sleep, would not be comforted- we tried all our tricks. The poor kid was just very overtired. He had not napped all day, and then combine the lack of sleep with overstimulation and unfamiliar territory- and it was a disaster. So we left, without having even really left the guest room. Never, ever has B been like that. He is such a happy baby- all the time! If he is very upset usually within 10 minutes we somehow get him calm/asleep/eating- of course when we are with other people that is what goes down.
Sunday he was back to his happy self. Nana, Grandpa, and Uncle G had tickets to the Eagles home opener so we went down to meet them for tailgating and visiting. It was a lot of fun and a gorgeous day!
Sunday night Barbara came over for the holiday and to see B
New this week- he really is getting grown up-

He quickly gets bored and lets us know it- this face shows he was done with exersaucer fun!
